The Month Of Thanksgiving.

I absolutely love the month of November!!! The cool crisp mornings, the fair daytime weather, and the more then cool evenings so great for sleeping weather. Just between you and me I don't sleep all the well anymore so when I do it is a bonus.

I think my grand daughter Lily and I are a like in that we love autumn leaves.  You may remember from past blogs that I told how when Lily was helping me rake up leaves she would talk about the beauty in all the unique and beautiful autumn leaves. Even before I meet Les I enjoyed taking a drive through the canyon in the fall and observing all the beautiful autumn leaves.

There is just something about the colors and textures of autumn leaves that absolutely touch my soul.  But the most important reason I'm love November is beause of Thanksgiving! I have so much to be thankful for.  If you saw the little girl they showed on TV just before election day I felt a lot like her.  She was crying and her mommy said, "Abbie what are you crying for?" And she said, "I'm tired of Barack Obama and Mitt Romney."  Her Mom said, "I'm sorry Abby the election will be over soon."  So I for one am like little Abby and really glad the elections are over.  Even though my man Mitt didn't win I think we need to get back to normal or what ever is close to normal and still respect our President, and it really wouldn't hurt to pray for him. With the state that our government is in the President needs all the help he can get.  As I look at my life in general I really am blessed. We have four great kids and their spouses, and 16 soon to be 17 super grand kids and 5 soon to be 6 great grand kids, (I know, I'm to young to be a great nana!)  I have a great husband that treats me like a queen (most of the time). I have a beautiful home and all the comforts there in. I have good health and that means so much because when your health is poor then you really realize how blessed you were.  Plus I have great friends and family.

We will be going to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving which will be different for us.  We usually spend it here with our Children.  I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!  Don't eat to much. :-)
